Watching a lot of PBS Space Time and I’m consistently amazed by one fact:

We knew about some parts of Quantum Mechanics in the 1800s.

~30 years after the Civil War we knew about Electron Spin. Crazy.

Reminds me of how the Romans knew about simple steam engines.
